New to Square? If you would like to get started with Square, please create an account here or follow the steps below and select “Sign Up” after clicking Connect with Square. Make sure to contact us at support@propetware.com so that we can enable the integration in your ProPet account.
Already connected to Square? If you haven’t done so already, please make sure you contact support@propetware.com first so we can enable your integration on your ProPet account!
Are you interested in using the Square terminal? The ProPet integration supports both online payments and terminal payments. Please view the terminal we are currently integrated with here.
Now connect your Square Account to your ProPet account!
Simply follow these simple steps:

- Navigate to your Settings
- Under the Payments heading, select “Payment Provider Setup”
- Click “Connect with Square”
**Please note: If you do not see the Square integration listed, please contact support@propetware.com so we can enable the integration for you!
- Follow Squares instructions to create a new account or log into your current account.
- Congratulations, you are now connected with Square. Next, add a location by clicking the drop down menu. For those facilities with multiple locations, make sure to select the appropriate location to match your ProPet account.
- Save
- For those facilities using the integrated terminal, make sure your terminal is on, connected to your internet, and you are logged OUT of your Square account.
If you are not interested in the terminal, your connection is complete and you’re ready for the next step! - Select Add Terminal and input the Friendly Device Name and the same location as Step 5
- This will generate a device code to input into your terminal
- On your terminal, tap “Sign in”
- Tap “Use a device code” and type in the code that Propet obtained from Square in Step 9
- Tap “Sign In”
- Your terminal is now connected
- If you are interested in accepting Tips on the terminal, select “Yes” beside “Automatically track tips”
- Choose which category should be used to track tips. If you need to add an option to this list, go to “Settings” > “Pricing” > “Custom Charge Categories”. Click here for more information.
- Save tip options
Your connection is complete!
Enable Integrated Methods of Payments
Next you will need to enable your integrated methods of payment. Simply navigate to your:
- Settings
- Payments heading > Method of Payment
- Check off “Online credit card payment” and “Integrated POS Terminal” (if applicable)
- Save.
You will now be able to accept payments using your integrated payment options.
Adjust your Online Payment Settings:
You can customize your customer’s payment experience, including whether they can delete their credit cards, pay for confirmed bookings per service type via customer credit and/or credit card, accept tips, and choose whether they can make reservation requests when there is an outstanding balance. You also have the choice to automate a balance collection and pass on credit card fees.
You can access these settings by:
- Navigating to your Settings
- Under the Payments heading, select Online Payment Settings
- Review and adjust the settings to your preferences
- Save your changes
If you haven’t already, it is now time to set up your Payment Instructions.
