The day-to-day demands of running a pet business are time-consuming enough without factoring in administrative duties. This is why it’s important to have a software specifically designed for pet businesses. This way you know your business software accounts for the unique requirements any pet-related profession is likely to encounter. Chief among these requirements is managing the vaccination status of your customer’s pets.
ProPet makes managing vaccinations really simple by streamlining the process and automating whenever possible. Here is how ProPet makes managing vaccines easier:
Proof of Vaccine
With ProPet your customers can submit their proof of vaccination in their own time, and from the comfort of their own home. All they have to do is login to the customer portal, click on Pet Info>Vaccinations>Upload Proof of Vaccination and they’re done.
There’s no need to manage physical documents or worry about keeping an organized filing system. Your customers have the option of uploading a PDF file, a photo or a scanned copy of their vaccine confirmation which will be stored in ProPet, and easy for you to access in the admin portal.
Customizable Vaccine Requirements
Legal requirements for mandatory pet vaccines can change from country to country, region to region or even town to town. But ProPet allows you to fully customize your vaccine requirements so you can easily comply with your local laws.
For example, you can set one type of vaccine to ‘required,’ which means it is a must-have and you won’t accept a booking without it, and you can set another vaccine to ‘active,’ meaning you recommend they get it but they’re still allowed to make booking without it.
In the admin portal, simply click Settings>Vaccines. From here you will be able to add a new vaccine or edit an existing one.
With ProPet it’s simple to ensure the pets you service are properly vaccinated in accordance with your local laws, and if they’re not properly vaccinated, it’s very easy to tell.
Expired Vaccination Warnings
ProPet is a completely request-based system, which allows you to fully control your bookings and make a daily schedule that works for you. But another added bonus of being fully request-based is that you’ll have a safe-guard against non-compliant bookings.
If a customer has expired vaccines, ProPet will trigger a series of warnings that will alert both you and the customer that their vaccines need attention.
Warnings will appear in both the customer portal and the admin portal. The alerts in the customer portal will alert your client that their pet need to update their vaccines before booking, in accordance with your companies policies. While the alerts in the Admin portal will clearly notify you if a booking request has been submitted for a vaccine-less pet, in which case you can set the booking request to ‘pending’ and let your customer know that they need to visit their veterinarian.
