Remington Pet Ranch is a veterinarian owned pet resort that offers luxury lodging and daycare for dogs and cats in Austin, Texas. Owned by Dr. Linzi Newth and named after her late best friend, Remington, the ranch is situated on a picturesque 35 acres with rolling hills and two natural ponds.
Linzi’s goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for dogs and cats of all ages and needs. Remington Pet Ranch has a fantastic team of veterinary professionals and animal lovers who are all CPR certified and follow the industry’s top training protocols.

ProPet: Why did you get into the pet business?
Linzi: I’ve been a veterinarian for 10 years and it took a significant emotional toll. I started my pet resort as a place where pets enjoy coming and I can actually spend time with them.
ProPet: What is the most fulfilling part of your day?
Linzi: Posting photos of the pets having a great time and seeing all the owners love them and comment on them. It makes me feel great to give owners peace and happiness regarding their pets.
ProPet: What is your favourite part of each day?
Linzi: Treat time! We have a local canine chef that makes homemade gourmet treats that we give daily. The pups love them! My favorite thing is to go around to each suite and hand out the treats.
ProPet: What are some of the challenges that you face?
Linzi: As an owner, I think just the stress of trying to make all the moving pieces work is my biggest challenge. Human resources isn’t the most fun either.
ProPet: What has ProPet changed about the way that your run your business?
Linzi: I opened my business using ProPet so I haven’t changed anything but I do love it! It’s very user friendly and has pretty much any option that I could ask for. I also love that the customer service is so accessible.
