The Breed Manager
The breed manager allows you to see and manage your breed list. All breeds recognized by the AKC have been automatically uploaded into your account! However, some popular breeds such as PitBull, Jack Russell Terrier as well as popular mixes with their own name such as Goldendoodle, Schnoodle and many more oodles, are missing! Good news is that you can add new breeds as needed!
From this portal you will also be able to “Amend Manual Breed Entries”, you will be, per consequence, able to replace your customers typed in responses with breeds from the breed list!
Once you are ready for your customers to start choosing their breeds from the list, you are able to enable the breed list selector.
Amending manual breed entries:
You are able to replace your customers typed in responses with breeds from the breed list. The first time you arrive to “your amend manual breed entries page”, make sure to click “auto assign breeds”. This will assign breeds with exact matches(and some common misspellings). For example, all customers who have typed “Yorkie” as their breed will be automatically be assigned “Yorkshire Terrier”
Once this is done, you can manually amend each individual typed breed(or the most common ones) by clicking replace with breed list.
Changing, deleting or adding new breeds to the list:
You are able to add, delete or change the name of any of the existing breeds in your account.
To add a breed, simply click on “Add a new Breed”
To delete or change the name of a breed, simply click on the breed name, a small pop up will appear where you will be able to change the breed name as well as deleting a breed from the list.
Assigning a breed from the list to your customer’s account:
When you are ready to go live with your breed list (most of the common breeds have been mapped, common mixed breeds have been added). You can enable the breed selection for dogs in your breed manager portal. Your new customers, or customers whose dog breed has not been mapped, will be now prompted to select a breed from the list.
You and your customers will also be able to select multiple breeds to mark mixes!
