From a Confirmed Reservation
When a booking comes through, you can go to the customer’s account, and hit the “accept payment” button:
Modify the payment amount to reflect how much you accept for a deposit, and in the notes section, just be sure you include that the payment is a deposit so you and your staff can keep track:
From a Pending Reservation
To accept a payment for a pending reservation, navigate to your pending reservation list. Then Review the booking and select the “Balance $___ Accept Payment” to process the deposit. In the pop up window, you will see the “This is a deposit” checkbox option. Check this off and the payment will automatically be recorded as a deposit.
The reservation can then be edited and confirmed.
For those facilities that have an integrated payment processor, you can choose to have customers pay their deposits or automatically accept a deposit upon confirmation.
