How do I process a payment in ProPet?
There are many ways you can process a payment in Propet. Firstly you will need to make sure all your payment options are set up, as well as your invoice templates. Once you have set up all your payment options and invoice templates, you are ready to take a payment. Click here for more information on how to set up your payment options. You can do this from multiple places in Propet.
Reservation Confirmation Page:
Click on the “Balance $XX.XX Accept Payment” button. The payment amount will autogenerate with the remaining total balance. However, you can adjust this if you want to make partial payments or if multiple payment types to complete the settlement are required. Click in the payment amount box and replace the autogenerated price with the amount you wish to pay for this payment method.
Then select the payment method, adjust the payment date if required, who took the payment, any payment notes required, which invoice template to email (optional), add your initials and “Accept Payment”.
Once the payment is complete, you will see a new balance, and a transaction record will appear under the “Payment” log of the invoice.
From Check Out:
For those facilities using the Daycare, Grooming and/or Training Dashboard(s), you can accept payment upon checkout by clicking the “Check out” icon . Then click on “Check Out and Go to Details”. You can then proceed with the exact instructions as found above.
For those facilities using the Boarding Dashboard, you can click the “Check Out” icon and then go straight to payment by clicking on the “Accept Payment” button. Then proceed with the instructions as seen above.
You can also accept payments from the Reports > Day Summary Report by clicking on the blue $ for the appropriate dog.
You can also follow up and accept payment for outstanding balances by navigating to your Reports > Outstanding Balances report and clicking the blue $ icon for the appropriate dog.
Lastly, Propet can now auto-charge customers with credit cards on file upon checkout when you have signed up with one of our integrated payment processors.
